| Screen Size Information | ||
"Screen size" refers to the resolution setting of your computer's monitor, not the physical size of the monitor. The "screen size" is expressed as two numbers (screen pixel width x screen pixel height), whereas the monitor's physical size is usually only one number ( i.e. 17 inch or 14 inch monitor). |
You will want to download the image of the same size as your screen's resolution to ensure the best viewing quality of these new desktop wallpapers. |
To find out what screen size your monitor is set at, open the Desktop Display Properties box by right-clicking any blank space on your desktop and select "Properties" from the bottom of the menu that appears. Once the Display Properties box is in view, click the tab labeled "Settings" and look for the area labeled "Screen Resolution". Your current setting will be displayed below the slider button. The images on this site are offered in the three most common settings, 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768. |
If your screen is set at something other than those three most common, just download the closest size image and check the "Stretch" button on the Display Properties box's "Desktop" tab (this is where you go to change your desktop wallpaper also). |
